The  instruments

To the  ballroom  of  house  Beda  belongs to  Bösendorfer grand piano with a length of 2.75 m  and  92  Keys.  His  variety of sounds,  outgoing  from  out of the ordinary  full,  overtone rich  basses  until  there  to  a clear, transparent treble, has already seduced numerous international concert pianists into raptures.

 

This Boesendorfer  was from  Piano builder Claus Hübner, the father of the managing director of the current piano house, Marcus Hübner  (Trier).    

 

In 2014 the contestants for  for the first time, two large concert grand pianos with different characteristics were available for selection.

 

Presented since the 2016 competition  the Pianohaus Marcus Hübner  from Trier  the participants in addition to the wing of the Beda house  Steinway D  with a length of 2.74 m.  The D-274 is at home on over 95% of all major stages, enchanting the audience with its excellent sound.

 

This model is the perfect symbiosis between loving craftsmanship, unmistakable volume of sound and a unique way of playing, which  the world's most renowned pianists have appreciated for more than 160 years.

 

In addition to the two concert grand pianos, the participants stand in the warm-up and practice rooms  two new concert pianos from the Steinway & Sons group and one  M. HUEBNER Piano  from the Trier piano manufactory, which meet the highest technical and tonal requirements. Here the young musicians  prepare for their game.
